WHY WE'RE BETTER
NATURAL AND RAW INGREDIENTS
HOMEMADE & HANDMADE
We make these body butters in kitchens, using bare hands, and an occasional blender. This lets us control our ingredients and not rely on some far off factories to create our butters.
All ingredients are sourced raw, which means they have not been adulterated with any preservatives. This reduces the shelf life of our body butter, but increases that of your skin.
We've been fooled enough, so we promise to be 100% transparent and tell you exactly what we put in Bombay Butter. Our goal is to make something that both you, and we, can use on our skin.
In 2017, we were finally tired of navigating the dubious US cosmetics market, and decided to take things into our own … kitchen. We started making high quality body butter in our Californian home from natural and raw ingredients.
Using natural ingredients as beauty remedies is not new to us. We grew up in India where our mothers would quickly whip up coconut oil masks for our dry hair or turmeric scrubs for dull faces. There are only a few fruits or a vegetables that we haven’t rubbed on our face to see their cosmetic benefits.
With Bombay Butter, we want to un-complicate beauty and pass it on to you.
Body butters are an excellent alternate to existing water-based moisturizers in the market.
Water-based moisturizers need preservatives to last longer and emulsifiers to make them creamy. Every manufacturer adds chemicals such as alcohol, fillers, and other unpronounceable toxins to get the perfect consistency, fragrance and shelf life that we consumers have gotten so used to.
